Miami’s Culinary Future: Welcome to Better Days Robotic Kitchens
MIAMI – A new dining experience is making waves in the Magic City, and it’s all powered by robots! Meet Better Days Robotic Kitchens, Miami’s first fully automated restaurant, where gourmet Mediterranean meals are available for an astonishingly low price, ranging from just $4 to $15.
Culinary Precision at Lightning Speed
So, how does it work? The innovative AI-powered robots prepare your meals in as little as two to four minutes using three distinct heating methods. This level of precision in cooking is designed to rival even the best human chefs. Ryan Ramseyer, the general manager of Better Days, explains, “It starts in a real kitchen with real chefs. We have a team of chefs here in Miami who have curated a menu that we think is attractive for this market.”
Behind the Scenes: From Chef to Robot
Each dish begins its journey in a traditional kitchen, where chefs prepare meals in batches. These meals are then packaged with their own recipes embedded in the labels before being handed over to the robots for quick and efficient cooking.
Once an order is placed, the robots seamlessly take charge, measuring weight and moisture, and determining whether the meal is for delivery or pickup. “These ovens are deceptively simple looking, but they’re actually communicating with the robotic arm and with the freezers,” Ramseyer adds. Using advanced AI technology, the ovens guarantee that your food is cooked to perfection. A thermal scan is the final touch to ensure that each dish meets high-quality standards.
Taste Test: What Diners Are Saying
Local 10 News reporter Alexis Frazier had the chance to sample the restaurant’s homestyle macaroni and cheese and was pleasantly surprised, exclaiming, “OK, it does not taste like it’s been frozen for one second. I don’t know what’s going on.” Her favorite, however, was the spicy rigatoni, proving that these robots don’t skimp on flavor!
After cooking, meals are packaged and labeled, ready for either delivery drivers or customers to pick up. Ramseyer emphasizes the restaurant’s efficiency, stating, “We don’t really have any waste in our system because of the way the robot is set up. The robot can continue to serve all night, 24 hours a day.”
Current Offering and Future Plans
As of now, Better Days Robotic Kitchens operates solely as a pickup service, with availability through popular food delivery apps. With its cutting-edge technology and affordable pricing, it’s clear that Miami has stepped into a culinary revolution.
