For instance, Nvidia participated in a funding round alongside Microsoft and OpenAI that valued humanoid robotics company Figure AI at an impressive $2.6 billion.
While Nvidia’s robotics division currently accounts for a smaller fraction of its revenue—data center sales making up approximately 88% of its reported $35.1 billion in the third quarter—the company is clearly betting on the future potential of robotics technology.
