Sony and AI Singapore Unite to Enhance Language Processing with SEA-LION Models
In a groundbreaking move to address the linguistic diversity of Southeast Asia, Sony Research has announced a collaborative partnership with AI Singapore (AISG) to develop the SEA-LION family of large language models (LLMs). SEA-LION, an acronym for Southeast Asian Languages In One Network, aims to elevate the precision and functionality of AI in processing the region’s numerous languages.
Bridging the Language Gap
Southeast Asia is renowned for its rich tapestry of cultures and languages, with over a thousand languages spoken across the region.
